Hello Everybody, Welcome To Open Beta

Again Everybody From The HomePage This is what is and is not available on the open beta:

Is Available In The Open Beta: 

  • Remastered Versions of deaths from the original (important part)
  • Major Graphical Enhancements (New Logo & More!)
  • Animation Enhancements (Thanks Pivot Animator 5!)
  • Achievements (hell yeah)
  • Main Menu Music (hell yeah)

Is Not Available In The Open Beta: 

  • The 3 New Deaths (somewhat also important)
  • Secret Ending (crucial)
  • Source Code (thru github, I don't know who would use this)
  • Mobile Version (After Release Probably, Not ON Release)

Proud To Release Open Beta!

I am really really proud! although it is just an open beta and not a full release, I already have the full game envisioned in my mind and how it is going to look and take shape and I assure you it is going to be 100x cooler than the original! Thank you all as this is only 1 out of the 8 games I will be remastering for the RGB Software Remastered Collection.

My New Favorite Death:

SPOILERS

When I was finished animating "Get Shocked" I was very proud of it, of how the stickman was getting electrocuted like those cartoons and animations, and at the end where he just fell flat and the power socket was smoking. But if you didn't see what caused this, Mr stick guy put a fork or a spoon although I'm pretty sure I made it a fork, Into the socket like those viral stupid tiktok challenges where they also had to put something in a power socket, please don't be stupid and DONT DO THAT, I'm pretty sure people died there.

Development Hell

I don't know but within a span of 4 months, I was able to release this game's open beta. Now let me put this in a timeline:


Now you might think the development of this was normal, well no that's because i worked 60% of work right at the end of November RIGHT before the open beta, and the open beta build you are currently playing was built on November 4! not October, Not September, November 4! I was on tight schedule basically but this is due to my school & my youtube channel with a daily upload schedule (go check it out btw the official trailer for the game was uploaded there aswell as some extra content) so yeah but yeah, definitely no pressure at all, and now I have to fix the bugs and start development for release, isn't it a small world after all!

So basically here was the development:

  • September: made the wick project, remastered the menu and worked on death 1
  • October: work on a few deaths then and there
  • November: WORK ON AN ACHIEVEMENT SYSTEM, THE REST OF THE DEATHS, WHERE SECRET ENDING IS, PROBLEMSJFHKSDJF

Please if you have time check the game out, and please give some feedback aswell to let me know if there is bugs, I will be of course myself will be trying to find bugs but not all of them are possible to see!


Welp, that's all it! I still don't have a planned release date for the game so stick around! plus i might make a second devblog for the features of the game!
